The Code Crusaders are a mathematical superhero troupe with a problem. They need a new member, so they travel through space and time to find one. They land in Victorian England at the home of twelve-year-old Ada Lovelace. Surely this is a mistake? She's just a child. But is she?Ada and the Code Crusaders is a brand-new family opera from English Touring Opera, made for children aged 7 to 11. It tells the story of Ada Lovelace, the world's first computer programmer, through live music, adventure and plenty of audience participation. Your children won't just watch, they'll be part of it.
Written and composed by Anna Pool, directed by Nel Crouch and designed by Ella Barraclough, this is a show that makes maths and science feel like the most exciting thing in the room.
The show runs for up to 60 minutes in the Children's Library on the ground floor of Exeter Library.
Tickets: £5 for under 12s, £10 for ages 12 and over. Babes in arms free.
