Showman & Coole
Super deluxe fiddle, banjo and song! Through 20 years and a couple of thousand shows together in bands such as The Foggy Hogtown Boys and The Lonesome Ace Stringband, John Showman and Chris Coole have developed a deep and instinctual musical bond. Their music lurks in a truly unique space that is somewhere on the outskirts of old-time, bluegrass and folk. The songs of Hank Wil-liams, John Hartford, Dock Boggs and The Band share space with the fiddle tunes of Eck Robert-son and Ed Haley. The duos original songs and tunes take in all these vistas and paint something both personal and timely.

Rising bluegrass sensation from Cardiff, this dynamic four-piece ensemble has channeled they in-fluences from the bluegrass forefathers right up to the progressive bands such as The Punch Brothers. And yes, Taff Rapids have a Canadian up front on vocals / banjo, and a Scot on fiddle! Invited by the International Bluegrass Music Association to take part in their prestigious World Of Bluegrass event, Taff Rapids Stringband is poised to become a powerhouse in the realm of
bluegrass music.

A.D.Scruffs are a roots americana string band hailing from Bristol, and beginning to build a live rep-utation as a ‘must see’ act - with a foot stomping collection of ear-worm infested originals and a storming stage presence! Fronted by Jake A.D. and Willygoat Scruff, these two combine their love of folk music from traditions the world over with a dedication to storytelling through the art of song. From the chiming mandolin, the frailing of the banjo and the slide of the dobro, you’ll find yourself lost in the soundscape that’s being sketched out as you watch the band in their natural element: lost in music!

bluegrass music on a trip to Texas, and this has moulded them into the harmony driven and
