ACWM Symposium 2025: 'On The Battlefield'
Join us as we kick off our exploration of the course of the War with our 20th annual Symposium 'On The Battlefield' in Richmond at ACWM Tredegar.
The Symposium 2025 Ticket Package two days of events:
Friday - special program and reception in the Museum lobby
Saturday - Full day of lectures (LUNCH INCLUDED) with leading scholars discussing the course of the Civil War. Books are available to purchase and booksignings will be held throughout the day on Saturday.
Presented as part of our continuing partnership with The John L. Nau, III Center for Civil War Studies at the University of Virginia.

Dr. Andrew S. Bledsoe - 'The Evolution of Military Thought in the American Civil War'
Dr. Anthony Cade, II - 'The Lousiana Guard as Change Agents of 19th Century America'
Dr. Shauna Devine - 'The Civil War & the Rise of American Medical Science'
Dr. Wayne Hsieh - 'Science & Daring: Modern Arms and Discontents'
Parking - Free parking will be made available for the Friday & Saturday events. Museum staff will be on hand at the ACWM Welcome Desk to answer any questions and provide assistance upon your arrival.
Friday program/reception is in the ACWM Tredegar museum lobby
Saturday Symposium is in the Tredegar Foundry (immediately adjacent to the museum)
