Actor, Filmmaker, and Creative Mixer
Hey there! Join us for a super chill in-person hangout where actors, filmmakers, and all kinds of creatives come together to connect, share ideas, and spark new projects. Whether you’re looking to network, find collaborators, or just vibe with like-minded folks, this mixer is the place to be. Come ready to chat, chill, and get inspired!
We'll have creative bingo, "Ask Us Anything" tables with the event organizers, labeled tables for "Actors," "Filmmakers," "Writers," etc., and icebreaker prompts.
Turkey Burgers available to pre-order by April 22nd.
Grilled Turkey Burgers with onions/cilantro spices on potato bun with mayo, ketchup, and green habanero sauce if wanted
Our mixer will take place on the rooftop lounge of Aurora Apartments.
Near North Bethesda Metro.
Parking info: There is parking available on the side of the road across from the WSSC or the parking lot located at Mom's Organic Grocery.

Mimi Lam (she/her/hers) is an actor combatant, filmmaker, and Founder of DC Stage Society. Recently, she directed the documentary, Flexing On Cancer, through the DC Filmmakers' Make a Movie in a Month project that was selected for the Gaithersburg Film Festival. She received her MFA in Acting from Brooklyn College.
DC Stage Society brings actors from DC, Maryland, and Virginia together for acting training workshops led by experienced industry professionals, such as casting directors, producers, directors, and more. Our organization has brought in casting directors, including Erica A. Hart, Caitlin D. Jones, Kim Graham, Rachel Reiss, Jodi Collins, and more coming up.
Juan Morales is a writer and director from Montgomery County, Maryland. Over the past six years, he has built a body of work that has screened at film festivals across Baltimore, New Jersey, Las Vegas, and California. Educated at the University of Maryland, Juan adapts creatively to challenges while maintaining meticulous attention to detail, bringing bold, original ideas to life. Through his films, he explores climate change, the pursuit of happiness, wealth inequality, and racial injustice. Juan is embarking on his first feature film, Abhaile, a social horror project that examines urgent social issues through a Latin American perspective.
