About this Event
An intensive workshop for the beginner interested in learning what all that theatre lingo means and how to actually do it. We’ll jump straight in with a warm up then talk about stage directions, body positions, gesture, level, focus, projection and articulation, plot, character, action, strategy and tactics. How do you connect to a scene partner? We’ll talk about physicality, emotional availability, and personal boundaries. How can you ask questions when you don’t understand your director? We’ll practice the art of failing and how to stay calm when you just don’t feel calm in rehearsals and performance. (3 hours, Interactive, designed for beginners, no preparation or experience necessary)
