About this Event
The Active Bystander Training, delivered by the Hollie Gazzard Trust and run in collaboration with Active Gloucestershire and WASP (Wiltshire & Swindon Sport), empowers people to confidently and safely challenge harmful behaviours when they occur.
Being an active bystander means recognising when something isn’t right and choosing to do something, even something small, to help. Whether it’s bullying, harassment, discrimination or any form of injustice, active bystanders play a crucial role in creating safer, more respectful environments.
This training highlights that stepping in doesn’t always mean direct confrontation. You’ll learn a range of practical, realistic tools and techniques such as distraction, delaying, delegating, or offering support afterwards, that anyone can use to make a positive difference.
By building awareness, confidence and empathy, we can work together to make our counties safer, more inclusive places for everyone.
Dinner and Refreshments will be provided.
