The Action Palace Amateur Team Cup returns for its second installment this November, continuing its mission to spotlight top-tier amateur pool competition in Ohio. Following a thrilling inaugural battle during #ACTIONFEST2025, the defending champions, 8-Ball Scholars, will put their title on the line against a new and formidable challenger out of Columbus, Ohio — Scotty Doesn’t Know.Hosted once again at Action Palace Billiards & Game Room in Huber Heights, Ohio, this two-day event will take place on November 15 & 16, 2025. The reigning champions, 8-Ball Scholars — led by captain Andre Moss Jr. and featuring teammates Bob Deturk, Christian Walters, Dan Sammons, Kenny Kemper, and Matt Gregg — will defend their crown with pride and determination. Their challengers, Scotty Doesn’t Know, captained by Chris Bradlee and supported by Scott Stephens (stepping in for Adam Wolford), Tracvon Miles, Curtis Younce, Tristan Harris, and Jesse McNew, aim to bring the title back to Columbus and make a name for themselves in this prestigious series.
Just like the inaugural event, the format mirrors the intensity of the renowned Mosconi Cup, combining doubles, singles, and team matches. The first team to reach 11 team points will be declared the champion, with each individual match a race to five wins, earning one point toward the total. Both 8-ball and 9-ball disciplines will once again share the spotlight on a single 7ft Diamond table, ensuring fast-paced, high-drama action throughout.
