About this Event
Industry professionals can tell when something feels “acted.” What they’re looking for is something human. This is where that shift happens.
In this 6-week scene study lab, Joe Garcia works with actors to strip away the extra and build work that feels lived-in, specific, and grounded. The focus is on developing instincts you can rely on in the room and on camera.
This is a working space. You’ll be on your feet, exploring scenes, getting adjustments, and learning how to follow your impulses moment-to-moment.
By the end of the session, you’ll bring that work into a live onstage showcase.
What You’ll Walk Away With
- Stronger, more grounded scene work
- Clearer emotional access without forcing it
- Tools to trust your instincts in auditions and on set
- A live showcase performance to apply what you’ve built
Instructor
Joe Garcia is an award-winning actor and coach with over 40 years of experience. Known as an “actor’s coach,” he helps actors cut through habits and find work that feels honest, specific, and human.
