Join us for a series of free acting classes with teaching artist Frank Ingrasciotta. No experience necessary!

Designed for anyone who wants to “take the stage” – in acting or public speaking! The art of acting is not just about being the next famous actor, but it explores life skills that everyone can utilize in any profession. Explore the elements of acting while freeing your creativity, increasing your confidence, and learning how to work effectively in a group. The tools and techniques of the actor’s craft are introduced through a wide variety of exercises, games, improvisations, short-scripted material, monologues, and scenes. Use these tools and techniques to forward your career and improve your listening and communication skills. No experience necessary.

Materials will be provided for this program.

Attendance at all sessions is recommended. Space is limited | Supplies are available on a first come, first serve basis. Registration is recommended. Please register at the 125th Street Library website. Walkups will be permitted as space accommodates.



About the Artist

FRANK INGRASCIOTTA (Actor/Playwright/Director/Educator) is the writer/performer of the acclaimed Off-Broadway solo play Blood Type: RAGU. In this heartful and hilarious coming-of-age story, Frank portrays over 20 characters recounting his experiences growing up in a first-generation Italian immigrant household as he explores the themes of culture, identity, and forgiveness. As an actor, Frank has performed in many film, TV, and theatre productions. As an arts educator, he conducts workshops in acting and creative writing with adults and students of all ages. He holds a Theatre Arts‑in‑Education degree from SUNY Empire State College.
