Acadia Community Theater is thrilled to present, for the first time in forever, Disney’s Frozen. Based on the feature film, this show includes all the film’s beloved songs along with new music written exclusively for the stage.
In the beautiful kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna (Chrissy Mackinnon) and Elsa (Stephanie Leonardi) grow up sheltered in their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s been trying desperately to conceal take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious storm begins, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find her sister and bring her home, with the help of an ice harvester named Kristoff (Ash Cray), his reindeer Sven (Ayla Wren), and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf (Lina Bodge). Full of magic, humor, and stunning music, Frozen is a beloved tale of sisterhood and finding the real meaning of true love.
Join us at the 1932 Criterion Theatre at 35 Cottage Street in Bar Harbor to enjoy this sparkling show. ACT’s production is directed by Kate Young and Molly Dority with vocal direction by Mary de Koning. Matt Hochman is the producer.
Show dates are April 17, 18, 24 and 25 at 7 p.m. and April 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $20 for students, seniors, and military. Children 12 to 3 are $15. Disney’s Frozen features music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, book by Jennifer Lee. It is based on the Disney film written by Jennifer Lee and directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. The original Broadway production was directed by Michael Grandage and produced by Disney Theatrical Productions.
