The class will guide participants through the landscape painting process and include a live demonstration by Prof. Yan Sun using acrylic colors. With a special emphasis on the emotional power of color and light, Prof. Sun will share insights into composition, color contrast and harmony, texture, depth, and the expression of ideas. You may work from your own photo reference or use one pre-selected by Prof. Sun. The class is open to all skill levels, and we provide all necessary materials, including an 11”x14” canvas, a palette, acrylic colors and brushes, a brush washing container, and paper towels.
Location: 604 Main Street, Zanesville, OH
Time: Saturday, April 4, 2026. 9:30 AM – 12:00 Noon.
Fee: $35 per participant. The fee is non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend or family member if you cannot attend.
