Earls Court Gallery is pleased to present Across Generations: Inuit Art Since the 1960s, on view from January 10 – February 7, 2026.

This exhibition brings together historical and contemporary Inuit artworks created since the 1960s, including stone sculpture, printmaking, and textile. All works are available for acquisition and the exhibition reflects the enduring strength of Inuit artistic practice across generations, communities, and regions of the Canadian Arctic.
The gallery is proud to work in partnership with Inuit cooperatives, including the Nunavut Development Co-operative and Canadian Arctic Producers, whose longstanding support of Inuit artists has been central to the development, circulation, and recognition of Inuit art. These cooperative networks have enabled artists to share knowledge, stories, and skills—ensuring continuity while fostering innovation.
Across generations, Inuit artists have used art to communicate lived experience, teachings, and relationships to land, animals, and community. This exhibition honours those traditions while recognizing Inuit art as a living, evolving practice within both historical and contemporary contexts.
Inuit artists have developed a powerful and enduring visual language—expressing stories of community, environment, and identity through remarkable creativity and skill. Our goal is to present these works with care and context, honouring their makers and the cooperatives that have supported them.

Contemporary artwork is provided by the Nunavut Development Corporation and The Canadian Arctic Producers, whom play an important role in the Canadian Inuit art industry.

“Across Generations | Inuit Art Since the1960s” exhibition can be viewed in person at 215 Ottawa Street North, Hamilton, ON. Earls Court Gallery is open Tuesday – Friday 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. The artworks will be featured in the main gallery.
