I'm excited to present Acro Dance, a workshop series for dancers, movers and acrobats. This will be a collaborative effort to merge the worlds of Acro and partner dancing in order to help each other level up. To that end I will be bringing a different guest teachers to share their knowledge and insight. We will explore topics that aim to improve our connection with our dance partners, build a strong foundation for dance lifts and explore ways of making our dancing more dynamic and flowy. This series will include some conditioning , conceptual exploration through games and exercises and technical guidance of specific movements. Topics will range from tone, frame, musicality, weight shifting, counterbalance, compression/stretch, soft acrobatics, dips and leans, “flow”, and of course, dance lifts.
This series is intended for all levels. Although some of the topics and moves will be familiar to some of you, we will slowly scale up the difficulty and progress to more intermediate/advanced movement towards the end of the series by introducing different movement modalities.

Rising sun Acro yoga is one of the collaborators for this series and is a great place to learn beginner friendly Acro yoga. They have been gracious to give us a time slot for Acro Dance, but come check them out if you are interested in trying Acro Yoga. Here is a link to their schedule
