The practice of combining yoga and instrumental music can heal, encourage, and nurture your soul. During this workshop, students will be serenaded by fantastic musicians while practicing yoga with Kate Anderson. Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops will be playing acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and banjo live during our yoga practice. Kate will lead students through a Level 1 yoga practice. Class ends with a deliciously long savasana full of music.Laura Wortman and Kagey Parrish of The Honey Dewdrops began touring in 2009 and have called the city of Baltimore home since 2014. They will release their newest album, Here in the Mountains, on August 2nd. Through many years of touring and playing music together, Laura and Kagey continue to expand their experimental folk sound of electric and acoustic guitars, mandolin and clawhammer banjo with tight vocal harmonies, while maintaining a commitment to deepening their understanding of the world through the lens of songwriting and music. No Depression says of their 2022 album, Light Behind Light, “The Honey Dewdrops have a way of filling their songs with humanity, using their beautiful playing and harmonies to emphasize what connects us all.”
