About this Event
Winter's knocking on the door, and The Stage Door pub is firing up another unforgettable evening of live music and spoken word. On Thursday, December 5, join us for a night where acoustic fury meets ukulele charm, powerful vocals collide with raw poetry, and Kent's creative community comes together once again.
Kicking things off is Djentleman Jon, the self-proclaimed International Man of Misery! This isn't your typical acoustic set—Jon fuses heavy metal and grunge into a solo experience that's as unique as it is unexpected. He's made history as the only acoustic act to win a qualifying heat at Metal to the Masses, proving that unplugged doesn't mean underpowered.
Next, Strings Attached bring their kaleidoscope of ukuleles to the stage. As six proud members of the Orchard Theatre Ukulele Club, they'll showcase everything from standard 4-string tenor and concert ukes to 8-string tenors and a baritone. It's a ukulele masterclass wrapped in pure enjoyment.
Then Tilly Pantlin takes the spotlight, bringing her professional polish and infectious joy to every note. Whether she's performing at Town Centre Live on a Saturday, headlining Central Park's Big Chill Out & Dartford Carol Concert, or lending her voice to weddings and local venues across Dartford and beyond, Tilly's passion for sharing music is absolutely contagious.
Closing out the night, poet Alex Armstrong delivers his unfiltered, outsider artistry. This Kent-based wordsmith tackles mental health and everyday life with unflinching honesty and intensity, all sprinkled with humour, waffle, and flash fiction. Expect raw, real, and remarkably human.
As always, doors open at 7:30pm, admission is free, and all you need to bring is yourself. Grab a pint, find your spot, and get ready for a December evening that mixes metal, melody, and meaning in true Stage Door style.
