Acoustic Roots Loshausen ist ein 4-tägiges Jam Camp (Do-So) und Festival für akustische amerikanische Roots- und Folkmusik wie Bluegrass, Old Time und Artverwandtes. Abends finden Konzerte statt, für die auch Einzeltickets erhältlich sind.

Ausstattung Schlosspark (Campground)
Der Campground im Park bietet Strom, Wasser und Toiletten, aber keine Duschen. Ein Grill(platz)ist vorhanden, ob Lagerfeuer gemacht werden darf, hängt in den vergangenen Jahren in diesem Zeitraum vom Wetter bzw. Der Trockenheit ab. Es gibt einen Fluss, in dem man auch baden kann, direkt am Park. Der Park ist gut geeignet für Camper, Wohnwagen, Vans, Zelte und so weiter. Die Camp Tickets zu 50 € gelten pro Person. Es gibt keine Tagestickets, nur Gesamttickets.
Umgebung und Lage
Die Umgebung des Schlossparks Loshausen lädt zu Spaziergängen ein und unmittelbar am Park entlang verläuft auch ein Radweg (Oberaula – Schwalmstadt). Die nächste größere Gemeinde ist Schwalmstadt, dort gibt es Supermärkte, Restaurants etc. In Loshausen selbst gibt es einen Bäcker sowie einen SB-Nahversorger Markt (das ist ein SB-Supermarkt mit kleiner Basisausstattung). Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist Loshausen recht gut erreichbar (DB Bahnhof Treysa aus der Strecke Kassel-Frankfurt)
Im Park gibt es ausreichend alte und hohe Bäume und genug Platz für verschiedenste Sessions an lauschigen schattigen Plätzen. Gejammt werden kann rund um die Uhr, sofern eure Camp-Nachbarn nicht mit Bratpfannen auf euch losgehen. Im Fluss kann man baden oder die Füße baumeln lassen.
Das Camp und das Wochenende ist überwiegend auf Selbstversorger-Basis.
Während der Konzerte gibt es Bewirtung, also Getränkeverkauf, vielleicht auch Essensanbieter, zum Beispiel lokale Bratwurst o. Ä.. Auf dem Campground gibt es aber keine ganztägigen Essensangebote.
Der Schlosspark entfaltet auch am Abend eine ganz besondere Stimmung und ein kleines feines Bühnenprogramm wird das Jam Wochenende ergänzen und auch zum Konzerterlebnis machen.

Acoustic Roots Loshausen is a 4-day gathering of musicians and a jam session camp (Thursday to Sunday), as well as a small, intimate festival for acoustic American roots and folk music such as bluegrass, old-time, and related styles. Concerts take place in the evenings.

Facilities at Schlosspark (Campground)
The campground in the park offers electricity, water, and toilets, but no showers. A barbecue area is available. Whether campfires are permitted depends on the weather and dryness during that time of year, as in previous years. There is a river right next to the park where you can swim. The park is well suited for campers, caravans, vans, tents, and so on. The €50 camp tickets (plus fees) are per person. There are no day tickets—only full camp tickets.

Surroundings and Location
The area around Schlosspark Loshausen is ideal for walks, and a bike path (Oberaula – Schwalmstadt) runs directly alongside the park. The nearest larger town is Schwalmstadt, where you will find supermarkets, restaurants, etc. In Loshausen itself, there is a bakery and a self-service local market (a small self-service supermarket with basic supplies). Loshausen is fairly easy to reach by public transport (DB station Treysa on the Kassel–Frankfurt line).
The park has plenty of old, tall trees and ample space for various sessions in cozy, shaded spots. Jamming is possible around the clock, as long as your camp neighbors don’t come after you with frying pans. You can swim in the river or simply dangle your feet in the water.
The camp weekend is largely self-catered.�During the concerts, there will be catering (drinks and possibly food vendors, for example local bratwurst or similar). However, there is no all-day food service on the campground.
In the evening, the Schlosspark develops a very special atmosphere, and a small, fine stage program will complement the jam weekend and make it a true concert experience as well.
