For over three decades Acoustic Alchemy has been at the forefront of contemporary jazz, even if the band’s signature eclectic mix of styles has meant they have never comfortably fit snugly into any one genre. They’ve had lots of labels—New Adult Contemporary, New Age music, Smooth Jazz—but as one band member put it, “We just make music we like.” After three decades, the group still sounds like classic Acoustic Alchemy, and that’s exactly what we’ll hear when the group performs at The Ludlow Garage.
