In the midst of the cold and bleakness of winter, when many of us just like to stay in for the most part and long for spring, more sunlight, and warmer temperatures, it's fun to take some time to search for events to look forward to attending in the spring! In doing so, I came across Acosta's Spring Gift Market that takes place on the first weekend of May --Saturday, May 2nd and Sunday, May 3rd 2026!! Acosta's is a lovely consignment shop in Lake Zurich, IL where they have new and gently used furniture, home decor, artwork, handbags, gifts, candles, and so much more!At this spring event they will have many different types of artists, baked goods, as well as food trucks and live entertainment! It comes at a perfect time in the beginning of May when you can find unique gifts for Mother's Day, gifts for the graduates in your lives, Father's Day, and more!!
As I have mentioned a few times before, I will no longer be doing outdoor art fairs, so when I discovered Acosta's and saw that they have different art events throughout the year with indoor spaces (as well as outdoor spaces) for artists, I became very excited and quickly sent in an application to take part in their Spring Gift Market! I am excited to share with you that they approved my application!! When more information becomes available regarding what booth number I will have, I'll update this post!
At my booth I will mainly have contemporary acrylic art; fluid and textured art. So, if you have been looking for unique artwork to give a finished look to your bedroom, family room, great room, office space, or your child's room, I hope that you'll consider stopping by my booth in May and check out all of my artwork!
Canvas sizes available: 4x5 inches, 6x6 in., 10x10 in., 9x12 in., 12x12 in., 11x14 in., 18x20 in., 20x20 in., 20x24 in., and 22 x 28 in. Almost every one of the canvases that I use are gallery-wrapped and triple-primed with acid-free gesso.
Besides contemporary acrylic art, I will also be presenting some of my original nature photography; prints and framed prints of swans, flowers, the moon, and more!
I will also be presenting what remains of my paintskin jewelry collection:
- 4 pendants that come with 18 in. stainless steel chains with sturdy lobster claw clasps
- 10 - 2 and 3 piece jewelry sets
- 7 pairs of stainless steel earrings
I created the jewelry by incorporating discs of the prettiest portions of non-toxic acrylic paint (that dried on my art table after creating some of my fluid acrylic paintings) into pendants, bangle bracelets, and stainless steel earrings which I then sealed under clear glass cabochons.
I will no longer be creating any jewelry so that I can fully focus on making more textured acrylic paintings and printing out many more of my nature photos to make them available for purchase at my upcoming art fairs that I will be doing in 2026 --Lord willing.
Also available at my booth will be my very popular crystal teardrop sun-catchers created with glass, metal, and acrylic beads and genuine stones -- including some with heart-shaped volcanic rocks! Each sun-catcher features a high-quality large teardrop shaped genuine crystal that will add beautiful rainbows to your walls --if hung in a window that gets direct sunlight!
Last, but not least, you will also find mini versions of my artwork in magnet form!
