About this Event
Welcome to our next Good Food Club event at CAER Heritage Centre! Join us for a fun session where you can try tasty dishes, share recipes and learn about all sorts of foods. This time, we’ll be focusing on practical nutrition tips and simple ways to build meals that support steady energy release and support long‑term health. We’ll explore how healthy food choices such wholegrain carbohydrates, low‑sugar choices, and plenty of fruit & veg can help with diabetes prevention. We’ll also look at easy portion‑control ideas that help keep meals satisfying and nourishing without overwhelming your plate or your blood sugar.
Information will be available from the local NHS and Diabetes UK to support those with at higher risk of developing diabetes or currently experiencing symptoms.
We’ll then move into a relaxed, hands‑on cooking session where we prepare a variety of colourful, flavour‑packed dishes designed to support diabetes prevention. Afterwards, we’ll sit down together to enjoy what we’ve made—good food, good company, and practical ideas you can use every day. Spaces are limited, so make sure you secure your spot.
