ACE dance and music: 24/25 Term 1, Sept - Dec 2024

For over a quarter of a century ACE dance and music has been nurturing talent and inspiring movement through its unique and powerful contemporary style, infused with the heart and soul of African and Caribbean dance.

Every week we run a number of thriving classes for children and young people aged from 2 -19 years. Our highly qualified and professional teachers work to develop your child by nurturing their natural ability. We encourage potential and inventiveness and build their physical confidence as they progress through the programme.

Whether your child chooses to dance for the sheer joy of it or is inspired to make dance a bigger part of their life, ACE dance and music will support and develop their passion and fundamental skills.

For those children who feel they want to take dance to a higher level, there is a long established and clear onward progression route through the Saturday class programme to the internationally renowned ACE Youth Company, and even into professional dance artist apprenticeships in conjunction with Northern School of Contemporary Dance.

Fun and creative sessions to encourage children to express themselves with the support of their parent/carer.

The perfect way for children to release plenty of energy and to ignite their creativity and imaginations.

A fun, physical class where children begin to build co-ordination and confidence through movement sequences and dance phrases.

A dynamic and energetic class focusing on building physical strength and resilience through complex movement phrases, dance technique and performance skills.

A class designed to welcome young people at all levels of dance experience. Young people learn and develop the techniques and foundations of dance in a variety of styles.

1. How can I enrol my child onto ACE dance classes?

You can sign your child up for the classes via Eventbrite. Please make sure that your child is in the right group by referring to the correct age range. If we notice a mistake, we will automatically put your child in the correct class. 2. What should my child wear/ bring?

Your child should wear their comfortable dance clothes, ideally an ACE t-shirt with black joggers/leggings. Cost of ACE t-shirt £10. Bare feet. Your child will need to bring a water bottle to each class.

3. If I change my mind about the class or if my child misses a lesson, will I be eligible for a refund?

Unfortunately, once payment is made, we are unable of offer you a refund. We will only offer a refund for extenuating circumstances which is at the discretion of the senior management team.
