To celebrate IFRD The Litas Seattle is hosting a ladies-only Accident Scene Management certification course on May 3rd in Edmonds. Registration is $50 (usually $150) and it is an accredited course. The class is sponsored by Washington Injury Law and includes lunch, snacks, certification, and a patch. This is an all-day course.
You'll get hands-on training on difficult topics like jaw thrust breathing, controlling catastrophic bleeding, rescue positions, moving the injured safely, and helmet removal, in addition to learning how to prevent further injury, assess an accident scene efficiently, contact EMS productively, and how to potentially treat any injured at the scene.
The goal is to make the whole riding community safer by teaching people how to be an effective first responder until EMS arrives. Registration is open until the day of the class, but if you'd like a crisp certificate with your name printed it's advised to register early.
