About this Event

Searching for a friendly, accessible craft workshop in Hull for adults with disabilities or additional needs? Our Creative Craft Sessions at Special Stars Foundation offer a supportive and engaging environment to enjoy a wide range of hands-on activities.

Running on three Fridays each month (with pottery taking place on the third Friday), these sessions are tailored for adults with special educational needs (SEND), autism, ADHD, sensory differences, or complex disabilities. Each workshop introduces different creative projects — from colourful crafts and seasonal makes to textured and tactile activities — designed to be both enjoyable and meaningful.

Choose a session time that suits you:
Morning session: 10:00 – 11:30
Afternoon session: 12:30 – 14:00

Our experienced team is on hand to provide personalised, gentle support throughout, ensuring everyone feels relaxed and encouraged. Crafting offers more than just fun — it supports the development of fine motor skills, coordination, and concentration, while also allowing space for self-expression and creativity.

These sessions also create opportunities to meet others, form friendships, and grow in confidence within a calm and understanding setting. Everyone is supported to take part in a way that suits them.

You’ll be joining a small, welcoming group where the pace is flexible, and participants are free to engage in their own way.
