Info: Welcome and introduction to NaviLens, the cutting edge technology for blind and partly sighted people! Many blind and partly sighted people have difficulty using traditional signage and therefore find it a challenge to be autonomous in unfamiliar environments. Blind and partly sighted users can use NaviLens codes, as they do not need to know precisely where they are placed. Just scan with your mobile camera and get the necessary information contextualized. Frank Taylor explains how NaviLens helps make cities smarter and more inclusive.

Info: This interactive session shows how assistive technology (AT) can be incorporated into job seeking, placement, and retention. Our presenters with share some successes and failures of AT in the workplace, as well as provide hands-on time with various AT devices. The session will discuss small changes we can each make to expand our capacity for helping people in work and life, and an overview of AT consideration and routes to device demonstration options and successful implementation.
