About this Event

Access for All: Women’s Health in the West Midlands
Report Launch & Community Exhibition

Join us for the launch of Access for All: Women’s Health in the West Midlands, a powerful new report led by PPiE that centres lived experience, equity and community voice in shaping the future of women’s health research and policy.

Hosted at the Scarman Centre, Warwick University, this landmark event brings together Warwick University, Cysters and ARC West Midlands in a joint, collaborative moment of learning, accountability and action.

This is more than a report launch. Alongside the findings, we will host a curated exhibition that puts real people at the heart of the data, highlighting the lived experiences behind the reports and statistics we so often talk about but rarely see.

The evening will feature community-led panels exploring PPiE, grassroots community building and the future of inclusive research. These conversations will challenge traditional power dynamics in academia and focus on how research can be co-produced with communities, not extracted from them.

Together, we will explore women’s health inequalities across the West Midlands, why access, trust and representation matter and how researchers, institutions, funders, clinicians and communities must all be at the table if we are serious about moving the dial forward.

Supporting Cysters
All ticket prices are used solely as a donation to support the work of Cysters, a charity working with marginalised communities around menstrual and maternal health. We are proud to support their grassroots, intersectional work tackling health inequalities and advocating for those too often left out of research and care. Please consider purchasing a ticket or making an additional donation to help sustain this vital work.

This event is for community organisers, researchers, students, healthcare professionals, funders, policy makers and anyone committed to women’s health, participatory research and health equity.

Come to listen, connect and be part of building research that is accountable, human and transformative.
