About this Event
As we move through spring, we will prepare our soil and garden spaces for the unique conditions of Florida's summer, choosing plants that thrive abundantly in our hot rainy season. This 6-part series will provide guidance, experiential learning, and take-home resources for you, our 'growing' farm and gardening community. Each week will be a standalone class, while the full series will be a joyful and deeply immersive journey to prepare participants for awesome summer gardening!
In this third workshop of the Abundant Summer Garden series, participants will learn about companion planting, how to know where plants should go, and how to create micro ecosystems that seem to bend the rules of what is possible in Florida's humid summer weather. This is certain to be an illuminating workshop full of practical tools and true Nature connection. In nature, plants work together as a single, interdependent living system. When we model our gardens after the billion-year-old natural systems that provide the air we breathe, something magical begins to happen.
Listening to the intelligence and elegant design of Nature is a direct path to an abundant garden.
