Learn how to create abstract ink drawings of fruit and vegetables, drawing quickly and expressively to create your artwork. Experiment using drawing equipment such as ink and a pipette, brush marker pens and permanent markers to create a framed piece of art ready to take home. This adult art workshop gives you an insight into abstract drawing, learn to be free with your drawing style focusing on the main shapes of the fruit and vegetables. This drawing process is all about wobbly lines and ink splodges not perfection!
You will experiment with pro markers and watercolours to develop a colour palette creating abstract patterns and lines to use as a background. You will work on sheets of paper throughout the workshop; from these you will cut and collage your favourite drawings into a final piece of artwork. You won’t need to sketch anything out first unless you choose to.
This workshop is open to all drawing abilities. Sarah is a qualified art teacher and will be there along the way to guide you through the drawing process breaking it down into simple steps and supporting you to achieve your abstract collage artwork.
Once the ink drawings are dry, we will cut around your favourite fruit, vegetable and pattern drawings, arranging and gluing them to create a vibrant and fun piece of art. Your artwork will then be framed ready to add a pop of colour to your home.
