Welcome to our FREE Dance Lessons by KL Social Society and KLSS Dance Alliance.

Our FREE dance lessons are designed for people new to dancing or who have never danced.

If you have previous experience great we will show you how to build upon what you already know to become a better dancer.

When?

Every Saturday

⏰ 7:00 - 9:00 PM

We start the lessons at 7:00 PM sharp. We ask that you arrive before 6:50 to complete registration make a name tag get your wrist band find a comfortable spot get a drink and meet your classmates or get a quick bit to eat.

Where?

HRC Sky Lounge

Nu Sentral Mall Level 6

KL Sentra Station

What to wear?

Please wear comfortable casual clothes and shoes. Shoes with leather or smooth bottoms make your turns pivots and spins easier to execute.

What to bring?

Your smile and your absolute fun self. Can bring a friend or two it makes learning even more fun.

What to expect?

The teaching plan for our foundation & fundamental lessons is split into two sessions with a 7-10-minute break between the two sessions.

Normally we will rotate teaching the three most popular social dances each week. Salsa Bachata Kizomba/Semba and occasionally we offer a special dance class with special guest instructors.

6:45-7:00 PM

Meet your Host instructors and classmates. Please Register On-site with the QR Code if you did not registered before the class.

7:00-7:55 PM

Session 1

Learn the seven foundational steps of 13 of the most popular social dances. Including freestyle club dancing. These are foundational moves that anyone can do and you can practice at home without a partner.

Learning these foundational moves will improve your two left feet boost your coordination and confidence all while developing your rhythm with fun and easy footwork.

We will practice the foundational steps and movements in class while learning the history of the movements so you can practice them at home.

7-10 minute break use the toilet get a drink and cool down.

Our classes are free but we need your support with the purchase of food and drinks if your can. It will allow us the use of this beautiful venue. ?

8:05-9:00 PM

Sessions II

Learn 4 Fundamentals and foundation movements of; Salsa Bachata or Kizomba/Semba partner dancing.

No partner is required as we rotate to help facilitate everyone’s learning. If you have that special partner/friend and do not wish to rotate no problem just let us know.

At the end of the evening we briefly recap the lessons so you can record if you want to practice at home.

9 PM-11:30 PM

Practice what you learned. It is the most important part of the evening! PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE is how you will improve your dance skills and build your dance confidence and is a great way to meet new friends ?

We provide a “Safe Dance Space” for everyone. Any type of harassment on or off the dance floor will not be tolerated.
