For over five decades, the ABPsi Annual Convention has served as both an intellectual and spiritual gathering space where scholars, clinicians, students, and community leaders from across the global African diaspora come together in alignment with African-centered knowledge and ancestral wisdom.
This year’s theme,
“The Illumination: Freeing the African Spirit,”
calls us to move beyond imposed limitations and reconnect with the spirit as a source of healing, clarity, and liberation.
Held in collaboration with Morgan State University, a leading HBCU and urban research institution, this year’s convention continues ABPsi’s legacy of advancing African/Black psychology and the well-being of our people.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
• Distinguished keynote speakers advancing African-centered psychological thought and liberation praxis
• Scholarly presentations, panels, and symposia exploring cutting-edge research and methodologies
• Honoring elders and pioneers in African/Black psychology
