One‑Time Volunteer Opportunity: National Tennis Month with Girls Alive

Time: 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. Please arrive at 10:30 am for orientation.
We’re excited to welcome volunteers for a special one‑time National Tennis Month event with Girls Alive, a neurodiverse girls’ group in the Triangle area. This session will introduce participants to the fun, inclusive, and highly adaptable sport of tennis.
What Volunteers Will Do
Volunteers will assist on the courts with simple ball and racquet activities designed to help participants experience tennis in a supportive, confidence‑building environment. Skill levels will vary.
We’ll guide you through everything you need to know.
Before We Begin
At the start of the session, volunteers will receive a brief orientation covering:
- The goals of the event
- How to support neurodiverse athletes on the court
- Basic guidelines for assisting with adaptive tennis activities
What to Bring
- A racquet
- Comfortable clothes and shoes
- A water bottle
