Started out from playing local Ganpati mandals to performing at the biggest music festival stages in Maharashtra like Mahindra Roots, Mirchi Music Festival, Kalaghoda Fest, Radio Freedom Awards, Just Love Festival Germany, and Just Love Festival Mauritius, a Mumbai-based contemporary folk fusion band, Abhanga Repost is known for reviving long-lost Marathi traditions, thought-provoking revolutionary poetry, and culture through their music by fusing it with modern contemporary sounds in India’s independent scene. Having played more than 500 shows over 10 years, the band is known to perform Abhangas, the poetry written and narrated by saints from Maharashtra, blended with contemporary genres like pop, RnB, reggae, and rock.
