Join Gillian Sneddon (author GHSneddon) at Michies Union Street for an informal 'round table' discussion about her journey to becoming a published baby book author.
Gillian champions self-love for children aged 0–5 through her innovative book My Little Ray of Sunshine’s Favourite Toys — an early years self-love manual inspired by Louise L. Hay’s affirmations, complete with a love-heart mirror at the back.
Her work is grounded in the science of early brain development, recognising how messages received in the first five years shape lifelong self-belief. At a time when confidence and emotional wellbeing matter more than ever, Gillian offers a gentle, evidence-based approach to nurturing self-worth from the very start.
More than a story, her book is a practical tool for parents, caregivers, educators, nurseries, hospitals and organisations supporting children — helping build attachment, emotional regulation and positive self-talk early on.
Gillian will also share her journey to becoming a self-published children’s author and what she learned along the way.
