Step into the 18th century and experience the complex relationships and vital trade networks that shaped life on the colonial frontier.Join us for “Abenaki at the Trading Post”, a living history event at The Fort at No. 4, where Abenaki, French Malise, and colonial interpreters bring to life the exchange of goods, stories, and cultures that defined early frontier New England.
Pequawket Alliance members will garrison the fort. Be sure to register your intent to attend as rooms and beds are limited.
Features: Flush toilets, firewood, saggy beds, fireplaces, sturdy walls and a good roof.
This was a very popular event in 2025. Well attended by public visitors. Be sure to bring a craft or skill to demonstrate.
