About this Event
Poced Measurement is an ideal introduction or refresher, to using time series data in relation to quality improvement (QI) efforts. This session looks to support individuals and teams within Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB) to come together and learn about the fundamentals of time series data within improvement theory and practice.
Aimed at all staff groups within ABUHB, Poced Measurement will enable you to:
• Recognise the difference between static and dynamic data methods
• Define the benefits of using time series data in improvement work
• Define key components of a run chart and control chart (also known as statistical process control /SPC)
• Describe the importance of understanding variation in data
• Provide you with the resources to produce and interpret a control chart (or run chart)
If you want to know more about how time series data can enable you to improve your improvement efforts, are part of a team looking to improve their service, or are wondering how you can benefit more from your current data, Poced Measurement is for you. We would also advise you to check out our Poced QI course which will introduce you to the broader QI fundamentals, and includes an introduction to run charts and measurement for improvement approaches. Both courses complement one another, and you don't need to do them in a particular order.
