After last year’s unforgettable session, the mighty Aba Shanti-I returns to the coast for a special evening DJ set as part of Hidden Beach 2026.
On Saturday 8th August, The Oval becomes a space of music, connection and shared energy as Aba Shanti-I takes to the decks, guiding the crowd through deep roots and dub selections.
Last year’s session became one of those moments people still talk about — the crowd locked into the rhythm, the energy building steadily into the night. This year continues that journey in an open-air setting, bringing people together under the sky.
Aba Shanti-I is recognised worldwide as one of the most influential figures in reggae and dub culture. From his early days as Jasmine Joe on Jah Tubby’s set, to founding the legendary University of Dub, to releasing music with Blood Shanti and the Shanti-Ites on the Falasha label — his work has shaped generations.
Expect deep roots reggae and dub selections, carefully chosen and delivered with intention, carrying that unmistakable Shanti energy across the evening.
As the night unfolds, The Oval becomes more than a festival space — a place of gathering, movement and elevation.
