Before you meet with your AARP tax preparer, you will need to pick up a packet. The forms must be filled out in advance of your appointment.
AARP’s Tax-Aide assistance program is provided by trained volunteers in partnership with the IRS. It is the nation's largest free tax assistance and preparation service. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides tax assistance to anyone, free of charge, with a focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income. You don't need to be an AARP member to use the service.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers have been doing taxes at YDL at no cost for over 17 years, completing taxes for hundreds of taxpayers annually.
We’re changing the start date for appointment bookings to Monday, January 12 to allow time to get the tax form packets ready for pickup and eliminate additional calls.
