For this performance, The Rubber Stamp Ensemble will feature:

Eli Davidovici // Bass
Aaron Dolman // Drums
The Rubber Stamp Ensemble is the musical manifestation of an ongoing multi-disciplinary project that embodies sound, visual arts, and my own family history. The rotating ensemble is made up of improvising musicians who perform interpretations of graphic scores which I create using an immense collection of rubber ink stamps that I inherited from my great-aunt, Freya Zabitsky, when she passed in 2011.
The project has also led me on an inspiring journey into the life and history of my great-aunt Freya, a writer and rubber stamp artist who became an active member of Mail Art network and the New York Correspondence School. This event will also be an opportunity for me to share her unique story and fundamental contributions to this project.

- Doors open at 7:30PM. There will be snacks! BYOB!
- The show will start at 8:30PM.
- This event is hosted by Le 213b, a private studio located in the Capitol Industries Inc. building, next to the Van Horne Bridge. The entrance is located at the very end of Av. de Gaspé, by the outdoor gym.
- This event is Pay-What-You-Can and all proceeds will be donated to Chez Doris.

Le Rubber Stamp Ensemble est la manifestation musicale d'un projet pluridisciplinaire qui incarne le son, les arts visuels et une recherche sur mon histoire familiale. Cet ensemble flexible est composé de musicien·nes improvisateurices qui interprètent des partitions graphiques que je crée à partir d'une immense collection d'étampes en caoutchouc héritée de ma grand-tante, Freya Zabitsky, une écrivaine et artiste qui était membre active du réseau Mail Art et de la New York Correspondence School.
Ce projet m'a également permis de découvrir la vie et l'histoire de ma grand-tante Freya. Cet événement sera donc pour moi l'occasion de partager son histoire unique et ses contributions fondamentales à ce projet.
INFOS SUR L'ÉVÉNEMENT /////
- Ouverture des portes à 19h30. Des collations seront servies ! Apportez vos breuvages!
- Le spectacle commence à 20h30.
- Cet événement est présenté par Le 213b, un studio privé situé dans l'immeuble Capitol Industries Inc., à côté du viaduc Van Horne. L'entrée se trouve au bout de l'avenue de Gaspé, près du gymnase extérieur (il faut entrer par la porte de droite, celle qui est la plus près du gymnase). Des indications seront affichées sur place pour vous guider jusqu'au local.
- Cet événement est "Payez ce que vous pouvez" et tous les profits seront versés à l'organisme Chez Doris.

Malheureusement, Le 213b est situé au 2e étage et il n'y a pas d'ascenseur.
