Aaron Austin TrioThe Aaron Austin Trio (AA3) is a guitar-forward instrumental group rooted in jazz, funk, rock and blues delivering rich textures, deep grooves, and soulful, unpredictable improvisation. Led by Eastern North Carolina–born guitarist Aaron Austin, the trio channels the grit of ’70s jazz-fusion alongside imaginative new takes on the American Songbook inspired by Hendrix, Trucks, Scofield, and Frisell. Anchored by Asheville standouts Jake Wolf (bass) and Ted Marks (drums), AA3 brings emotive playing and locked-in grooves that keep every performance alive and in the moment. A seasoned band leader and collaborator, Austin released his debut solo album in 2019 featuring Jeff Sipe, Marcus King, and the late Kofi Burbridge. Austin tours internationally with “Caitlin Krisko amp; The Broadcast” sharing stages with Tedeschi Trucks Band, The Wood Brothers, Mavis Staples, Kacey Musgraves, and many more.
