We are excited for Aarohi's Dikshitar Day on Sunday, October 12th from 1:30-6:30pm! We are extremely honored to host Dr. Kanniks Kannikeswaran, a very renowned scholar who has done incredible research and work on Shri Muthuswami Dikshitar's life. He has made a breathtaking documentary on the life of Dikshitar, which has screened in several big festivals in India, and we are so lucky to have gotten a chance to have one of the last private screenings at our event. Dr. Kannikeswaran will be doing a lec dem about this documentary as well to add on to this invaluable experience. He will also be releasing his new book about Dikshitar and doing a grand book signing for everyone who attends. To add on to the special evening, Shri Raman Poyapakkam will be performing a much anticipated concert along with Pranavi Srinivasa and Chiraag Kaushik. Please mark we Oct. 12 on your calendars and let’s all come together to celebrate the 250th anniversary of one of our pillars of Carnatic music, Shri Muthuswami Dikshitar!
