Call for YIS and MedPhys Slam Presentations!!!
Join us for the Chester Reft Young Investigator Symposium (YIS) & MedPhys Slam Competition during our upcoming spring 2026 meeting. We invite submissions for both presentations, including the YIS and the MedPhys Slam Competition.
The YIS welcomes students, postdoctoral fellows, researchers, and residents to showcase their work in presentations lasting 10 to 15 minutes, depending on participation. Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three YIS presentations: $500 for first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third.
The Slam competition will serve as the regional qualifier for the esteemed MedPhys Slam Competition at the AAPM national meeting. Participants will deliver engaging, three-minute elevator-pitch-style presentations on their original research. Judged by non-physicists, this event highlights the clarity and quality of scientific presentations to diverse audiences. The winner of the MedPhys Slam Competition will receive $500 towards registration for the AAPM national meeting. Learn more about the MedPhys Slam at: MedPhys Slam Information.
