AAPI New York: Stories from Manhattan
The Localized History Project@AAARI-CUNY and The Asian American Eduation Project are working to build NYC's AAPI Studies Curriculum, and support educators, students, and community learn and incorporate localized NYC AAPI history into their classroom.
In this event, learn Manhattan-based Asian American history from NYC youth researchers, featuring the following projects:
- South Asian Harlem
- Basement Workshop + Arts based Activism in Chinatown
- The Taxi Workers Alliance
- Two Bridges Chinese and Puerto Rican Parent Solidarity
The event will also include lesson plans and planning support from Asian American Education Project educators. There will be a dinner reception directly after the event from 7-8pm!
