Project Description:
Since building its impressive Surgeon’s Hall in 1810, RCSI has established a foothold facing on to Stephen’s Green West. ‘Project Connect’ is a significant new phase in its ambition to capitalise on its location and rationalise RCSI’s city-centre campus. Henry J Lyons completed RCSI’s flagship centre of education and surgical excellence at 26 York Street in 2018 to which ‘Project Connect' is linked, and further manifests RCSI’s educational philosophy of discovery.
‘Project Connect’ replaces the 5-story brick-clad Ardilaun Block with an 8 storey above basement building that will include research, teaching, learning, faculty and student facilities in a 12,000 square metre educational hub. A new entrance portal from Dublin’s front garden, St Stephen's Green acts as a lynchpin between it and the existing facility at 26 York Street and phased future growth of its campus behind it.
The project is scheduled to be completed between Q2 and Q3 2025, as such is currently at an exciting stage of construction, with multiple mid-flow trades.
