About this Event
Pacifica Institute, a Turkish Muslim community, Jewish Community Relations Council, and The River Church Community are uniting to prepare, enjoy, and serve a tasty Thanksgiving dinner to unhoused neighbors of San Jose. After meal preparation, volunteers will dine together (halal turkey and vegetarian options available). Thereafter, Shift 2 volunteers will bring 260 hot meals to neighbors who were forced out of San Jose's largest encampment last month. They now live in a large parking lot managed by the City of San Jose.
Enjoy good food, good friends, and good fun while serving a great cause!

By uniting to serve our neighbors in need, our grassroots movement is showing the world that peaceful coexistence between Jews, Christians, and Muslims is not a naive and distant dream, but a growing and present reality here and now.
