Join us for A-Z of Anxiety with Dr Michelle Rassool
Join Dr. Michelle for a deep dive into all things anxiety. A–Z of Anxiety exploreseverything from neurobiology and how the brain works, through to practical intervention. This day session unpacks how stress responses develop, how chronic arousal alters brain function and behaviour, and why certain dogs struggle to recover once in high arousal.
The seminar looks the what leads to anxiety states, including learning processes, environmental factors, genetics and physiology, before translating these concepts into treatments and management plans. Behaviour modification frameworks, environmental management and appropriate use of Medic*tion are integrated to provide a team approach.
Designed for dog professionals, veterinary teams, as well as dedicated owners, this seminar bridges science and training, equipping attendees with a structured way tounderstand and manage anxiety in dogs with confidence and clarity.
About Dr. Michelle Rassool BSc DVM MANZCVS (Veterinary Behaviour)
Dr. Michelle is an accomplished veterinary behaviourist, working in both behaviour and general practice. She runs a dedicated behaviour service helping dogs overcome challenges. Dr. Michelle has a passion for integrating behavioural modification and training techniques, and she works closely with a wide network of skilled trainers around the country.
Dr. Michelle owns a Malinois named Nara, and loves working with high drive dogs. She works alongside government agencies advising and caring for dogs in working roles. Dr. Michelle is an experienced and enthusiastic educator who presents topics on behavioural sciences around Australasia.
