The last two events completely sold out. A final chance this year, to join us for an evening of Yin and Vinyasa Yoga, Breathwork and Relaxation.
Embrace the stillness of winter and cosy up and chill out.
Join us for this 3 hour session of Yoga by candlelight; moving into stillness as we follow the thread of the breath.
Yin and Vinyasa practices followed by calming breathwork and sumptuous Yoga Nidra.
Yin yoga consists of a series of long-held, passive floor based poses. The postures work on a physical level with the connective tissues, and on an energetic level to clear the meridians. The poses are held for 3 to five minutes at a time. Yin yoga is great for when we are tired, over-stimulated, when our energy is too erratic or mind overactive
The Vinyasa practice is more dynamic, linking movement and breath to attain balance in the mind and body. From the Sanskrit “to place in a special way,” vinyasa aligns a deliberate sequence of poses with the breath to achieve a continuous flow. Helping to develop strength stability and balance for mind and body.
Breathwork or Pranayama practices have been used for millennia, as a way to focus the mind and regulate the central nervous system. This practice will promote deep relaxation and calm.
Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the "going-to-sleep" stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and we become systematically and increasingly aware of our inner world.
Warming soup, winter teas and nibbles included.
You’ll need to bring a mat, and blanket, you may also wish to bring blocks and a bolster cushion if you have them. I do have plenty of equipment available for you to borrow if not.
