Permanent Collection artist Manabu Ikeda returns to the Museum for a week of workshops, a daily Open Studio and an Artist Talk.Due to unforeseen circumstances the Museum has rescheduled In Conversation with Manabu Ikeda, Sunday’s Kids’ Pen & Ink Workshop with Manabu Ikeda and Manabu Ikeda Open Studio.

Artist Talk: In Conversation with Manabu Ikeda

Join the Museum for an exclusive artist talk featuring acclaimed Japanese artist Manabu Ikeda, in conversation with Kiriko Watanabe, Gail & Stephen A. Jarislowsky Curator at the Audain Art Museum.
Attendees will gain rare insight into his creative process, from the careful planning of each composition to the meticulous execution that brings his visionary works to life. A cash bar will be available throughout the event.

Explore the intricate art of pen and ink under the guidance of Permanent Collection artist Manabu Ikeda. This hands-on workshop invites adults to experiment with line, texture, and detail, drawing inspiration from Ikeda’s extraordinary practice. No prior experience required.

Join artist Manabu Ikeda for a fun and creative pen and ink workshop designed just for kids! Young artists will learn how to create lines, patterns, and textures to bring their own imaginative ideas to life. No experience needed, just a love of drawing!
