Join the rangers at Red Top Mountain as we explore the battlefield of a lesser-known but significant battle of the American Civil War. We will discuss the events that led to the battle and have the chance to see the old forts that were used during that time. If you are interested in history, don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity!This hike will be held at the Allatoona Battlefield, located just 15 minutes from Red Top Mountain State Park. Please arrive 10 minutes early. To reach the battlefield, take I-75 South to exit 283. Turn Left, and the battlefield will be on your left in 1.5 miles. This is a pre-register event, so please call the Visitor Center to make your reservation.
