Annually, Capt. Lester S. Wass American Legion Post 3 proudly prepares and delivers FREE Veterans' meals for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. For many years, Capt. Lester S. Wass American Legion Post 3 has been dedicated to providing free holiday meals to veterans, the elderly, and others in need. Our mission is to ensure that no one goes without a hot meal and a smile on these special days. The Legion serves individuals in Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, Essex, Ipswich, Wenham, and Hamilton.
The program relies entirely on volunteers. If you're interested in helping the cause by packaging or delivering meals, we would love to hear from you!
Jack Favazza is a piano bar style performer from Gloucester, MA, and a proud supporter of the American Legion. This show will feature Jack on solo piano performing your favorite classic Christmas hits.
His typical solo repertoire includes, obviously, Billy Joel, along with Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, the Beatles, Eagles, Jim Croce, David Bowie, Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra, and many, many more!
He is the frontman of Captain Jack and the Strangers - A Tribute to Billy Joel out of Gloucester. With Captain Jack and the Strangers, he has performed sold out shows at The Cut, North Shore Music Theater, Blue Ocean Music Hall, Tupelo Music Hall, and more!
