Celebrate Halloween Tudor style!Did you know the name ‘Hallowe’en’, a contraction of 'All Hallows’ Eve', was first used in the mid-16th century?
This October half term we’re taking inspiration from 16th century All Hallows' celebrations and invite our younger visitors to get hands on and create Tudor Halloween-inspired crafts.
Create a beeswax candle to take home (or you could pop it in a pumpkin!)
Design a Tudor inspired marchpane-style feast sweet to decorate your All Souls' Day feast.
These activities are free with a valid Mary Rose Museum ticket, though we ask for a recommended contribution of £2 per child - all contributions go toward the continued conservation and preservation of the Mary Rose and her objects.
