This is part of the second week of a 2-week long conference entitled “Knowledge and Recapturing the Revolutionary Spirit for Our Time” celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Saturday Free School for Philosophy and Black Liberation. At a moment of deep historic crisis in the nation and in the world, we say “There Is a Sky, There Is a Future” that can be won through struggle.
On this day, we will pay tribute to those who have been pivotal to the development of the Saturday Free School. They include Henry Nicholas, Jannie Blackwell, Hugh “Munchie” Moore, Glen Ford, William Hart Muhammad, and Pastor Renee. We will then conclude the evening and our celebration with a live intercivilizational concert of dancing, singing, and poetry.
This will be an in-person event and livestreamed to the Saturday Free School’s Facebook page. Lunch will be provided for those who can join us in person.
