Please join us for a concert celebrating the life of Brad Rogers, featuring performances by the University Symphonic Band, University Wind Symphony, Chamber Winds Louisville and the Louisville Concert Band, Combined Trumpet Ensemble (Chamber Winds Louisville, UofL Wind Symphony and Kentucky Musicians Abroad Staff), and the KYMA Europe Staff Combo.The Louisville Concert Band will perform a dynamic selection of works, beginning with the stately Military Escort composed by Harold Bennett (Henry Fillmore's pseudonym. They will follow with the lush Fantasia on a Gaelic Air and the energetic Cardinal Circle, both by Frederick Speck, showcasing the ensemble’s range and precision. Adding a special touch, the trumpets from Chamber Winds Louisville, the UofL Wind Symphony, and the KYMA trumpet staff will join for the heartfelt The Irish Blessing, bringing a bright, resonant tribute to the evening.
